Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children
An evidence-informed child sexual abuse prevention training
This workshop is part of MMCC’s onboarding process for all families to ensure that every family member is equipped to safeguard the well-being of the children in our community.
Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to protect our children and create a safe and supportive environment.
This evidence-informed training, based on Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children curriculum, focuses on:
- Identifying Signs of Abuse: Learn how to recognize indicators of child sexual abuse.
- Prevention Strategies: Develop actionable steps to prevent abuse in your community and organization.
- Responding to Disclosures: Gain confidence in handling reported instances of abuse with care and professionalism.
- Understanding Legal Responsibilities: Learn about New York State’s child abuse identification and reporting law.
Participants will receive CE/CEU credits upon completion. This training covers New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS) Topics 5, 6, and 8 and is Aspire Approved.
